Session Overview

How Long Does A Laser Session Take?

The length of a laser hair removal procedure depends on the size of the area treated. A session can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.

Before the actual laser hair removal session, you’ll be given protective eye gear. Once the session begins, a series of laser pulses treats the area, and when it’s over most clients can resume their normal activities.

  3. Treatment

    A Series Of Laser Pulses

The actual session involves a series of laser pulses that results in a prickling and burning sensation. But don’t worry, the pain isn’t too bad.

    Minutes to several hours

  4. After

    Back To Your Day

After the session is over, you may experience temporary swelling and redness. Most clients can resume their normal activities.

    Temporary redness

In fact, it’s like that of a rubber band snapped against your skin.

How It Feels

Is Laser Hair Removal Painful?

The laser pulses create a prickling and burning sensation, but the pain isn’t too bad. Most clients describe it as a quick snap followed by warmth, and any swelling or redness afterwards is temporary.

After Your Session

Protecting Your Skin Afterwards

Most clients can resume their normal activities right away. It’s important, however, to take care of your skin in the weeks that follow.

  • Right after

    Temporary Swelling And Redness

You may notice some swelling and redness once the session is over. This is temporary, and most clients go straight back to their normal day.

  • For several weeks

    Avoid Direct Sun Exposure

It’s important that you avoid direct sun exposure and wear sun block with a high SPF for several weeks afterwards.

  • We recommend

    Everyday Sheer Physical SPF 50

Our go-to daily sunscreen for protecting freshly treated skin while it recovers.
