Traditional Electrolysis
Regardless of the cause – heredity, metabolic, or hormonal conditions – electrolysis will permanently remove unwanted hair to reveal a glowing, confident you. A professional electrologist inserts a very fine needle (usually thinner than the hair being treated) into the natural opening of the hair follicle alongside the hair shaft. A tiny amount of electrical current is then applied to destroy the hair growth cells.
No other hair-removal solution can claim the universal acceptability and success offered by electrolysis treatments. Electrolysis safely and permanently removes all types of hair from all skin tones.

Transgender Large Volume Electrolysis
Facial hair growth on a woman, transgender or not, can be highly stigmatizing and very embarrassing. Electrolysis hair removal is the most reliable proven option available today to permanently remove transgender facial and genital hair. Laser hair removal can be an acceptable or even a preferable alternative in some cases, but the laser is usually not enough by itself to remove all transsexual facial hair permanently.

Electrolysis hair removal can be a quite painful procedure. Everyone has their own tolerance for pain. Descriptions of the discomfort vary from “no worse than a mosquito bite,” to “like having a rubber band snapped against my bare skin hard.” Electrolysis can give a stinging and pricking sensation, and each hair has to go through it. The degree of also relative to the area of treatment. Certain spots, such as the upper lip, are known to be more sensitive than spots like the brows.

Been coming here for 3yrs now, all of them are great, especially Valeria; from the start she was flexible with my schedule & high pain tolerance, she never upsold for my comfort. I did start with the injections for some areas, but hardly complained when they left the numbness.
I did recently try their new ProNox gas, and it certainly took the edge off for me; I don’t think we even used numbing cream, the time also went by much quicker. Finishing up stragglers will be a breeze now.

I have been with Valeria for the past two years and I have seen AMAZING results. My confidence has grown so much and I hardly have to come get electrolysis done anymore. Valeria has helped me with something so fragile and had me hiding key face. I now get so excited when I leave here chair coming from 2 hour appointments 1x a week to only 15 minute sessions every 1 1/2 months. My first time coming to Valeria's was Fall of 2022. I had another electrologist who worked at the site perform my first consultation and sessions for hair removal on my chest and abdomen. That person was super professional, kind and informative. I was impressed by the atmosphere; everything inside is clean and well-maintained. The site feels like pleasant luxury to make you feel at ease and at home. This was incredible for me as a first timer because I did my first sessions without anesthesia and they were moderately painful. I received 10 sessions from that electrologist then took a break. Since then, I've been pleased with the results.
Flash forward to beginning of 2024, I required electrolysis again for gender affirming bottom surgery. This time, I wanted to have anesthesia as obviously it's a very sensitive area to receive hair removal. Each time I had a session, Valeria's team of nurses were well-trained and attentive to what I needed as they did my Lidocaine injections. Valeria performed the actual hair removal, taking her time and being open to questions (as I am a blabbermouth during my sessions!). In addition, I got to know from her more about the business and why she started.
It truly meant the world to me when she told me she wanted to purposefully help transgender patients receive hair removal because she recognized a disparity in the availability of electrologists to do that type of work. The website is very upfront and affirming about being a safe space for transgender clients. That's why I felt comfortable going back.
Furthermore, given I was receiving these second set of sessions for surgery, I went through my insurance to get coverage, but I was continually denied. Valeria has been transparent and helpful in sending and resending invoices so that my insurance company will accept cost-sharing of my electrolysis sessions. It has been one of the hardest processes emotionally and financially I've had to go through, and she did not make it any harder for me. She kept asking me how the insurance dilemma is being managed, and during one of our sessions, she even was on a phone call I started with customer service as she did my electrolysis. Eventually, my insurance paid out, and I am currently as of the date of this post trying to get them to fund my remaining sessions.
I definitely recommend going to Electrolysis 100% Permanent Hair Removal & Skin Care. I have my bottom surgery in five weeks, and I am beyond grateful for the support and care I received.

Electrolysis 100 was by far the best place I've gone for high-volume, transgender facial electrolysis. The technicians are highly professional and competent - while also caring and compassionate. They also prioritized minimizing the pain of electrolysis, which helped given my deep pain sensitivity. I highly recommend them and will be flying back to Chicago for follow-ups.

I have moved frequently in my life and been seen by multiple certified electrolysis professionals, so I feel competent to give a review of Valeria's services. She works quickly and effectively. She involves the client and really listens to what bothers them. Unlike some I have been to, she does not dismiss difficult to find hairs. Valeria also takes extra steps to reduce redness. I would rate Valeria as the very best certified electrolysis professional I have ever been to and I am so fortunate to have found her. I must also give a shout out to Olga on her staff - also excellent as demonstrated by her effectiveness. I recently went in for an appointment (less than 15 minutes) after an absence of 7 months. I don't forsee needing to come back at this point - I think I can definitely say that electrolysis, professionally administered in at this clinic, is 100% Permanent.

Glad I discovered this location. I was not sure what to expect walking in for the first time being a male wanting electrolysis around the lower edges of my beard and rear neck hair lining. They are a professional staff explaining the process very clear. I immediately recognized this clinic uses new updated equipment which is important to me. Valeria is the best! I have been coming to her on and off since 2020 and she is kind, knowledgeable and takes great care of her clients! I truly can't recommend enough! I just finished my second session and left happier than I did the first time, which was really really happy. The staff is absolutely top notch, the facility is top notch and so clean and inviting. I travel a few hours to get my treatments and it is absolutely worth it. First experience with this facility. Such a nice and welcoming place! My friend from the gym recommended IV Vitamins for recovery after my workouts so I decided to try even though I’m so scared of needles. Irina was so patient with me. She explained the process every step of the way and even customized the Vitamin combination that would be most beneficial for me! After the infusion I felt full of energy and ready for another workout. This experience couldn’t have been better and I will definitely come back in a month for another round.

Valeria is simply the best. I wished I started seeing her sooner, I had consulted a couple other electrologists in Chicago before I went here and none of them seemed as knowledgeable and competent. I started going here about a year ago. Valeria is awesome! She’s super nice and knowledgeable but, most importantly, she does great work. She never treats any hairs by just plucking or doing inadequate insertions. I’m always confident with her that she is permanent killing the hair. She is super fast at clearing hairs. I just wish I knew of Valeria sooner as she is truly the best out there! A solid 5 star rating well deserved.
