Chicago Transgender Electrolysis MTF, GRS,SRS

Facial hair growth on a woman, transgender or not, can be highly stigmatizing and very embarrassing. Electrolysis hair removal is the most reliable proven option available today to permanently remove transgender facial and genital hair. Laser hair removal can be an acceptable or even a preferable alternative in some cases, but the laser is usually not enough by itself to remove all transsexual facial hair permanently. Getting body and facial hair under control is critically important for trans women that want to go fulltime.

You must find an electrologist who is capable of removing your facial hair with a minimum of treatment, but without causing unsightly scarring, pitting, or discoloration of the skin. Since the facial hair of the male beard is difficult to remove, trans women must seek an electrologist who is experienced with the removal of male hair. Preferably one who has worked extensively with trans women.

Chicago Transgender Electrolysis

At  Electrolysis 100% Permanent Hair Removal & Skin Care we developed an intensive program for the clearing of facial and genital areas that can speed up the process tremendously and solve the problem for transgender women who live far from a suitable electrologist. You have to travel to Chicago only a couple of times (between 4-10 times, depending on your personal response and the willingness to come back instead of finishing locally). We can work this intensively because we use lidocaine injections to keep the pain under control.

Beauty is a concept everyone understands, yet it’s expressed differently by each individual. Your own sense of personal beauty is based on your insight into who you uniquely are, which is the whole reason for your gender transition. When you feel attractive, life is more vibrant and fulfilling.

At times we seek assistance to enhance our appearance so we can be truly comfortable with ourselves and embrace life more fully. You may find, as many others have, that permanent hair removal can help you express your finest self and reveal the beautiful individual that you are.

If you are looking for a treatment to permanently remove facial hair and excess body hair as part of your journey, electrolysis is the solution for you. It’s the key to attaining the smooth, sophisticated, hair-free look you desire.

Will an electrologist understand what it means to be transgender?

Permanent hair removal is a very important part of my process. I’m on hormone therapy to reduce new hair growth, but I need a permanent solution for existing facial and body hair. I’ve done my homework and know electrolysis is the only permanent method, but I’m afraid to pick up the phone.

Your electrologist will absolutely understand. It’s best to select a certified electrologist to ensure that you are working with someone who takes utmost pride in performing their professional responsibilities and is knowledgeable about treating trans people. A professional electrologist is aware of what you are trying to accomplish and how electrolysis fits into your process. The electrologist will respect you, your choices and your privacy.

Will the electrologist have experience with transgender clients?

It’s likely, but don’t be afraid to ask. If they don’t, and you would be more comfortable with someone who has other trans clients, ask for a referral. An electrologist who is experienced with the trans community will likely also have a referral source of MDs, cosmetologists, estheticians, massage therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists to share with you, if you wish. An electrologist with experience treating transgender people can be a valuable partner in your transition.

Can electrolysis remove hair in the genital area?

Yes. However, your electrologist may ask whether you are seeking genital hair removal at this time in preparation for gender confirmation surgery and, if so, which surgeon you are working with in order to follow their pre-surgical protocols. It is important to allow sufficient time prior to surgery to complete genital hair removal in order to prevent future ingrown hairs internally. If your genital hair removal requirements are not related to an upcoming surgery, the electrologist will not need any information in this regard beyond the standard questions asked of all genital hair removal clients.

Why does the electrologist want to know what protocol or program I’m on?

Your electrologist understands the commitment necessary to make a gender transition and they take it as seriously as you do. Information about your plans helps your electrologist ensure that your electrolysis treatments work in concert with your long-term goals.
